The design of either a large or small garden we feel is of paramount importance to a success of a project.

We recognise that you may already have ideas for the design of your garden, but might not be sure whether something would ‘work’

In one of our gardens we have used this oak fencing panel, the design of the panel enables wind to go through but also allows shafts of light to pass through reaching light starved plants at the foot of the fence.

In a commercial setting these handmade planters were made of oak and stainless steel, an ideal solution to making a particular environment more private.

The client of this shop front wanted all year round colour, bespoke planters were made and a self watering system put in place ensuring the plants survive all year long.

The garden design process

Initial Visit / site survey

When you consult us about the design of garden, we will first visit the site to discuss your ambitions and our approach.  Our aim at this stage is to ensure we understand what you want to achieve and ensure your ambitions are realised

Once we have reached broad agreement, we will provide you with an estimate and agree terms.  We will arrange for a survey to be carried out of your garden and this will provide us with drawings on which to base our design.

Once our proposals are ready we will arrange a meeting to discuss the design with you in detail before going any further.

How much will the garden cost?

The garden design fee starts at £400, and is payable in instalments.  If your site has awkward levels or is very overgrown we reserve the right to charge an additional amount for the survey – but we will let you know before you commit to anything.

If your not sure whether you need the complete design service, start with a fixed-price consultation at £150.  The cost of that is refunded if you continue to a complete garden design.

The cost of building your new garden will vary considerably, depending on the materials and the intricacy of the design.  This is why you need to think about a budget at an early stage.  It is our job to create a design that can be built within your budget.

No nasty surprises

As a professional organisation, we take responsibility for all we do, and should something go wrong, we promise to fix it, we are committed to providing all our Clients with a first-class service, whatever the size of your garden.

Your design  is individual to you. We don’t use ‘stock’ plans.

We work with contractors who belong to appropriate trade associations – no cowboys will be working on your garden.

We will advise you of what the costs will be before you commit to anything. We will fix prices where we can, and warn you where we can’t.

On-going advice

If you are concerned about anything in your new garden, you can contact us. We want to help you so that your garden always looks it’s best.  We can also help if you need to ‘dress’ your garden with special plants or decorative features  -  just ask
